NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Three men have been charged with robbing two women near the Regal Opry Mills movie theater on Sunday night.

Police said the women were walking to their vehicle around 10:30 p.m. when a gunman demanded their belongings and struck one of the victims on the back of the head. He fled with the women’s purses.

The woman was not seriously injured and refused medical assistance.

The suspects’ vehicle was later stopped by police in the 1400 block of 9th Avenue North. Police said the stolen property was found under the front passenger’s side seat. A handgun was also found in the glove box.

Eddie Taylor, 26, Mark Williams, 22, and Braxton Cooper, 18, were taken into custody. Each has been charged with two counts of aggravated robbery. Taylor is also charged with being a fugitive from justice for a probation violation related to a weapon offense in Oxford, MS.

Taylor is being held on $450,000 bond. Williams and Cooper are being held on $200,000 bond each.

Police are withholding the suspects’ photos pending a lineup.
