Rain expected to dampen Thanksgiving travel

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

As cold air loses its grip by midweek, rain will reenter the picture. That will affect tens of thousands of Middle Tennesseans traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday.

On Wednesday – one of the busiest travel days of the year – rain will move in from the west, potentially slowing down anyone driving the I-65 corridor through Middle Tennessee, up into the Midwest, and southward into Alabama.

Those using I-24 and I-40 could also be affected, depending on the departure time and destination.
