A teacher is accused of stealing more than $29,000 from the Coffee County Education Association.

According to the Tennessee Comptroller’s Office, Stephanie Cunningham used the group's debit card and cash for personal expenses between May 2013 and November 2015.

Some of her alleged purchases included meals, jewelry, clothing and even gift cards.

Officials say Cunningham started putting personal funds back into the association's bank account.

Cunningham is charged with one count of theft over $10,000.
