No damage reported at Union Station Hotel fire

Posted: Updated:

A homeless person trying to stay warm may be behind a fire at downtown Nashville’s Union Station Hotel.

Firefighters were called around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, hotel workers had already put out the fire.

Investigators believe a homeless person was burning trash in the parking lot and the smoke drifted into the building, setting off smoke alarms.

There was no damage to the hotel.
