NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro police have arrested two brothers who were allegedly planning to transport 18 pounds of marijuana out of Nashville.

Detectives received information that Derek and Dalen Henderson had a large amount of high-grade marijuana and firearms.

Police caught up with the brothers at a rental car facility on Donelson Pike where a police dog indicated a drug odor coming from the brothers’ van.

A subsequent search revealed vacuum-packed marijuana, an AR-15 rifle, a 9mm pistol and a 12 gauge shotgun.

Dalen Henderson, 37, and Derek Henderson, 36, are being held on $75,000 bond each. They face felony marijuana and drug charges.
