Pedestrian injured in hit-and-run crash in Donelson

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro police are searching for the driver accused in a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian seriously injured.

The crash happened near the intersection of Lebanon Pike and McGavock Pike just before 7 p.m. Monday in Donelson.

Police are searching for a black car with a missing side mirror and only one working headlight.

The victim has been identified as 55-year-old David Lloyd, who is legally blind.

After the crash, Lloyd was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He is now listed in critical but stable condition.

People who work nearby said Lloyd was a regular at the Discount Tobacco store. They said he was often seen walking his dog and talking to people who work in the area.

Part of McGavock Pike was shut down Monday night while investigators were on the scene.
