NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

If you plan to vote in the presidential race in Tennessee, Tuesday is the last day to register.

Early voting starts next week on Oct. 19 and continues through Nov. 3. Election Day is on Nov. 8.

In Nashville, voters can register at the main office at 1417 Murfreesboro Pike or at the satellite office at 800 2nd Ave. South. Doors will be open until 4:30 p.m.

In order to be eligible to vote in Tennessee, you must be 18 years old on or before the date of the election and an official resident of the state.

Once you are registered, you do not need to register again unless you move out of the county. Tennessee's laws require for voters to be removed from the rolls if they have not voted in any election in the past eight years.
