NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

With just over a month to go until the November election, Rep. Rick Womick has filed two ethics complaints against Tennessee House Speaker Beth Harwell.

One of them alleges "flagrant abuse" of her position and "undue influence" on State Attorney General Herbert Slatery during the Jeremy Durham investigation.

The other criticizes Harwell for the various ways she has handled other disciplinary issues at the Capitol, ranging from Curry Todd's DUI arrest to allegations of sexual harassment against former House Speaker Kent Williams.

Womick, R-Rockvale, claims Harwell has lost her "moral compass" and her ability to "administer judgment on other lawmakers without being discriminatory or racist."

Channel 4 reached out to Harwell by email overnight. So far, she has not responded.
