What to know for Day 1 of wrestling

Posted: Updated:

The first day of wrestling at the Rio Games will feature two Greco-Roman weight classes (59kg, 75kg). Below you'll find information about the entrants, brackets, schedule and live stream links.

The 59kg field includes the past three world champions in Greco-Roman's lightest weight class, including current No. 1 Ismael Borrero of Cuba.

The 75kg class is even more credentialed, with two reigning Olympic champions – Russia's Roman Vlasov (at 74kg) and South Korea's Kim Hyeon-Woo (at 66kg) – in the field. There are also a pair of reigning world champions: Vlasov (at 75kg) and Turkey's Selcuk Cebi (at 80kg). The U.S. has a strong chance to earn a medal in this division thanks to Andy Bisek, who took bronze at the world championships in 2014 and 2015.
