Chew and Subandhi lose to Netherlands 2-0, eliminated

After losing to the Ko/Kim partnership of South Korea in their first match, and losing to Kurihara and Kazuno in their second match, Phillip Chew and Jamie Subandhi were looking to get off the mark and win a game against the Dutch on Saturday afternoon. However, that did not happen as the American duo lost 21-15 and 21-18 to lose the match 2-0. Jacco Arends and Selena Piek were too much to handle for the young and inexperienced Team USA members. They will not be advancing to the next round after going 0-6 in total games played. The United States' remaining badminton hope for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games is Iris Wang, who plays tomorrow evening on Court 2 vs. Li Xuerui of China.
