Relive the Final Five's peerless run at Olympic team gold

Before they became the "Final Five," Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian and Aly Raisman had 12 routines in front of them. 12 chances to shine or falter, to make history or leave with regret. 

 

They stepped up to the challenge, winning the gold medal in the women's gymnastics competition by over eight points. Here are some of the best routines and moments from the U.S. women.

 

The team starts on vault, where team captain Raisman finds the perfect time to do the perfect vault
