Posted: Updated:

The U.S. men's volleyball team begins its road toward the medal table Sunday.

Veterans Reid Priddy and David Lee lead the way for the Americans in what may be the last Games for both legendary players.

Priddy is in his fourth Olympics and Lee his third.

Team USA takes on Canada as its first opponent at 4 p.m. ET Sunday afternoon in the opening round of preliminaries.

Italy and France square off in the early game, starting at 8:30 a.m. ET. Italy won the bronze medal at London in 2012 and took home the silver in 2004.

The second game of the day will pit host country Brazil against Mexico at 10:30 a.m. ET

Mexico carries the lowest world ranking (26) of any men's indoor volleyball team at Rio. Brazil is the current worldwide leader in ranking and the favorite to win gold.

Poland and Egypt face off at 2 p.m. ET while Russia and Cuba go head-to-head in the first night game at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Argentina and Iran close out the day's slate with a 9:30 p.m. ET start.

The second day of women's volleyball preliminaries begins at 8:30 a.m. ET Monday.

After a day off Monday, the men's teams resume play again Tuesday morning.
