Before the elimination rounds begin in archery on Saturday, individuals will compete Friday in a non-elimination, ranking round to determine the seedings for the rest of competition.
On the men's side, competition begins at 9 a.m. with all three American men. Olympic newcomer Zach Garrett, 21, ranked third in the world, will begin on Target 6. Fellow American Brady Ellison, ranked sixth in the world and a silver medalist in the team competition at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, will shoot at Target 7, while Jake Kaminski - a teammate of Ellison's in London in 2012 - will shoot at Target 8.
For the women, the United States failed to field a full team, but 21-year-old Mackenzie Brown, the only female American representative, ranked fourth in the world, will shoot at Target 4 beginning at 1 p.m.
