Rio badminton draw revealed: Lin could play Lee in semifinals

Yesterday, the Badminton World Federation unveiled the Olympic badminton draws via a livestream on its YouTube page. 

Of all potential matches, by far the most anticipated is that between China's reigning men's singles gold medalist Lin "Super" Dan of China and his rival, silver medalist Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia. At the Beijing 2008 Games and the London 2012 Games, Lin and Lee met in the final - with Lin defeating his opponent on each occasion.


Now, the tables have seemingly flipped. Lee is ranked the World No. 1 player, while Lin is World No. 3, just behind China's World No. 2 Chen Long. Should the draws play out according to seeding, either Lee or Lin would play Long in the final.
