Chef Nick's Spicy Grilled Watermelon

Spicy Grilled Watermelon

1 Watermelon cut into ½ inch thick wedges
2 Serrano chili peppers
½ Cup fresh basil
2 limes juiced
2 tbsp sea salt
Fresh cracked black pepper
¼ Cup extra virgin olive oil

Heat grill or grill pan on high till smoking.
Brush melon wedges with olive oil on both sides. Place on grill for 2 minutes per side till grill marks are showing. Remove and set aside. In food processor place basil leaves, chili, lime juice, olive oil, salt and pepper. Blend together till peppers are almost completely dissolved. Drizzle over melon wedges and season with salt and pepper.
