WINCHESTER, TN (WSMV) -

In Arkansas, they call the hogs. In Winchester, TN, they just try to guess their weight.

Friday was Hog Day in Franklin County.

More than 3,000 people traveled to Winchester to try to guess the weight of two large pigs valued at $2,000. If they guess correctly, they get to keep them.

Some people couldn’t resist making a guess, but hope they don’t bring home the bacon.

“I guessed 1,812 pounds,” one person told Channel 4. “I’m hoping far enough off that I don’t come home with two pigs.”

The 13-year Winchester tradition is a great time for everyone but the pigs.

Guessing ending at 4:30 p.m. The winner will be announced Saturday after all the math is done.
