Nashville Children's Theatre performs 'Charlotte's Web'

Posted: Updated:

Some of Nashville’s finest actors and storytellers will perform Charlotte’s Web for the next month at the Nashville Children’s Theatre.

For 30 years, Scott Copeland has made it happen at Nashville Children’s Theatre.

“The pig, as all pigs, is destined for the dinner table. And his friend, Charlotte the spider, comes up with a plan to save him from that,” Copeland said.

The theater is Nashville’s biggest 84-year-old secret. Adult professional actors and directors have performed top-notch, highly produced, children-friendly shows since 1931.

Time Magazine ranked the theater the fifth best in the nation.

Copeland has directed 121 plays at the Nashville Children’s Theatre. His Charlotte’s Web is full of life lessons, friendship, sacrifice and love.

“Which are really some of the most profound issues of life, but in a very gentle, reassuring way,” Copeland said. “It touches on the things that make life worth living.”

Charlotte’s Web runs through Dec. 6. To order tickets, click here.
