Report: Poor testing, cleaning at Jeni's plant

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A government investigation found inadequate testing and cleaning at Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams' plant in Ohio before listeria was found in some products.

A report by the FDA said managers at Jeni's did not have a proper sampling and testing program and were not sufficiently sanitizing some surfaces, including the floors.

Jeni's recalled all of its products last month and closed all of its shops, including three in Nashville.

No illnesses are linked to the recall. Jeni's will reopen its shops Friday at 7 p.m.
