You can still have homemade sweet treats that don't have to break the butter bank!
Mix all ingredients on stove top, or even melt the butter and peanut butter in the microwave, then add the powdered sugar. Remove from heat, then press into a 9-inch pie plate. Refrigerate this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
Melt 1 cup (to 1 1/2 cups) chocolate chips in the microwave in a microwave-safe deep glass bowl. Pour chocolate over the peanut butter mixture, then spread all over the top.
Allow to set at room temperature if your peanut butter mixture was cold; or if you do this after pressing the peanut butter mixture into the pie plate, refrigerate to speed the process.
If wanting to cut them to place in miniature cupcake liners, use a shot glass to outline, then cut with a knife.
