It's egg nog season! So, in addition to picking up a few extra cartons to freeze, whip up this delicious Egg Nog and Spice Cake Trifle!
AIMEE FORTNEY'S EGG NOG SPICE CAKE TRIFLE
Make a spice cake, even using a boxed mix, but doctor it by making it with an extra egg, and use egg nog in place of water.
Can use yellow or white cake mix or even homemade; just add a teaspoon of cinnamon and half a teaspoon of nutmeg.

AIMEE FORTNEY'S EGG NOG PUDDING
Stir together sugar, flour, eggs, milk and egg nog in a saucepan and cook over medium heat, whisking constantly for about 10 minutes. The consistency should be thick like pudding. It will begin to bubble, but do not boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and nutmeg. Chill for at least four hours.
