NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) - A crash shut down the eastbound lanes of Briley Parkway early Sunday near the Averitt Express hub in South Nashville.

The crash happened at about 2:40 a.m. near the Curry Road overpass.  A single car was involved in the accident.

When police arrived, the driver was not at the scene.  Officers determined that the vehicle was driven by the owner's daughter.

Police located the woman at a gas station on Murfreesboro Road.  Officers tell Channel 4 News that she suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital upon request.

The woman told police that she was in the car by herself.  However, a witness told officers that two people walked away from the scene.

Police kept the road closed until they were sure no one was missing.  Officers reopened the road around 5:30 a.m.
