An old favorite: Candy Popcorn Balls that I made with Michala when she was little.
Today, I have two very sweet and special guests joining me in the kitchen: Jhea and Javien Roberts.
This recipe makes 12 to 15 popcorn balls:
Place the popcorn and candy in a large bowl, then set aside. In the microwave, melt butter for about 30 seconds.
Stir in the marshmallows and microwave an additional 30 seconds (a bit more may be needed). Stir to make sure the marshmallows are melted and incorporated into the melted mixture.
Add the vanilla or whatever flavor you are using, then pour over the popcorn and candy. Stir well with a spatula to coat the popcorn, then allow to cool for a minute.
Have a cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil next to you and spray the foil with cooking spray. Lightly spray your hands with cooking spray, then scoop a handful of the popcorn mixture and shape into a ball. You will likely need to press and hold the popcorn ball with your hands to shape. Place the balls on the sprayed foil, then repeat.
Store in an airtight container for about two to three days and enjoy!
