Aimee Fortney's Easy Cinnamon Apples and Honey

Posted: Updated:

I hope all of our Jewish viewers had a blessed and happy Rosh Hashanah. This recipe is in honor of Rosh Hashanah, as well as something sweet for all of us to enjoy!

  • 4 apples, cored and cut into slices
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • Splash of bourbon or dark rum (optional)

Preheat your oven to 375 and place the apple slices in a cake pan or small casserole dish.

Heat the honey in the microwave for about 20 seconds (just to make it runny enough to pour).

Sprinkle half of the cinnamon over the apples and mix the other half with the melted honey. (If using bourbon or dark rum, add it to the honey.)

Pour this honey mixture over the apples, then bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the apple slices are tender.
