3 arrested, charged in Raleigh shooting and robberies

Three men have been arrested and are facing numerous charges for their involvement in a shooting that injured two in the 4700 block of Courtney Lane in Raleigh Monday night.

A 26-year-old female sustained a non-life-threatening wound to her right shoulder and a 10-month-old female who was with her sustained non-life-threatening lacerations to her head as a result of the shooting.

The woman and the child were in a vehicle at the time they were wounded. They were with a 26-year-old male who was the target of the gunfire; he was not injured.

A CrimeStoppers tip helped lead police to charges in the case.

A post-arrest follow-up investigation also led two of the men to being charged in connection with nine commercial robberies in Raleigh. A third suspect was charged in connection with three of the robberies.

The commercial robbery cases include:

Aug. 21 robbery of the Food Lion at 4827 Grove Barton Road

Aug. 16 robbery of the Domino's Pizza at 13220 Strickland Road

Aug. 10 attempted robbery of the Food Lion at 3926 Western Blvd.

Aug. 10 robbery of the Papa John's at 6510 Glenwood Ave.

Aug. 2 robbery of the Lowe's Foods at 8440 Louisburg Road

July 27 robbery of the Pizza Hut at 7909 Falls of Neuse Road

July 19 robbery of the Pizza Hut at 7909 Falls of Neuse Road

July 16 robbery of the Papa John's at 9611 Strickland Road

July 15 robbery of the Cookout at 6505 Falls of Neuse Road

Joshua William Bower, 32, and Johnathan Lee Joyner, 23, are facing robbery and assault charges in connection to the Courtney Lane incident, and robbery, attempted robbery and kidnapping charges in connection with the commercial incidents.

Darius Stephon Herring, 23, was charged with conspiracy in connection with three of the commercial robberies.
