Mother, infant injured in Raleigh shooting Monday night

RALEIGH, N.C. -

Raleigh Police are looking for two suspects wanted in connection with a shooting Monday night that injured a mother and her 10-month-old baby.

Officers responded to a shooting shortly after 11:30 p.m. Monday in the 4700 block of Courtney Lane.

Police said a 26-year-old woman was shot in the right shoulder and her 10-month-old sustained laceration to her head likely due to shattered glass.

The woman and child were in a vehicle at the time of the shooting. They were with a 26-year-old man, who police believed was the target of the shooting.

Police said all three were at the scene in connection with a meeting that had been arranged by the 26-year-old man.

Two suspects were believed to be involved in the incident.
