NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Joelton man wanted for questioning as a suspect in the shooting death of his mother was found dead Friday inside his rented room at the Super 8 motel on Bell Road.

There was no indication of foul play in the death of 48-year-old Brian Keith Leeman, who was found unresponsive by motel staff in the bathroom. An autopsy will be conducted.

Leeman's mother, 68-year-old Judy Moon, was found dead Aug. 8 on the floor of her home in the 2800 block of Clay Lick Road. A friend asked police to conduct a welfare check after not hearing from Moon for several days.

Leeman lived with Moon.

Police say they found a cell phone and car keys belonging to Moon inside Leeman's motel room. However, Moon's silver Ford Focus was not on the motel property or at neighboring businesses.

Police are continuing efforts to find the car.
