THREE POINTS, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A SWAT situation in Three Points ended with a peaceful surrender Thursday afternoon, according to the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

Members of the Fugitive Investigative Strike Team and Directive Patrol were looking for Ronald G. Miller, 33, around Three Points at 6:30 a.m., according to Tom Peine with PCSD. He said Miller was on a motorcycle when they found him, so the suspect took off.

Miller barricaded himself in a home on S Silver Star Drive, near Ajo Way, where he remained until negotiators talked him out at 4:11 p.m., according to Peine.

Peine said the suspect was wanted for two aggravated assaults in Pima County. The first happened a month ago, and the second was Wednesday on a woman.

Miller was also wanted for a parole violation in Colorado.

Families living on S Silver Star Road complained that they could not return to their homes while emergency crews cleared from the scene.
