Authorities continue to gather evidence in Stewart crash investigation

ONTARIO COUNTY, NY (WROC/CNN) - New York authorities are looking for more evidence related to a deadly accident at a dirt-track race over the weekend.

Kevin Ward Junior died after NASCAR driver Tony Stewart's car struck him. The medical examiner identified Ward's cause of death as "massive blunt trauma."

Authorities want to recreate the collision to determine exactly how he died.

"Investigators continue to seek witnesses and gather evidence and develop the racetrack crash reconstruction," said Ontario County Sheriff Phil Povero.

They sheriff says they are also reviewing a second video from that incident.

He reiterated that there is no evidence at this time that a crime was committed.
