NC ranked 37th on list of best and worst school systems

RALEIGH, N.C. -

According to research by the personal finance website WalletHub, North Carolina's school systems ranks as the 37th best in the nation.

The rankings show North Carolina at the 38th spot in the "School System Quality Rank" list, 17th in "Education Output and Safety Rank," and in the bottom five in the "Safest schools" list.

The methodology for the study included key metrics such as student-teacher ratios, dropout rates, test scores, and bullying incident rates which were used to assess the quality of education in each state.
