RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

It's been four days of the biggest jazz music festivals in the world, right here in the River City.

15,000 fans from around the country made their way to Richmond for this concert. The Richmond Jazz Fest gets more elaborate every year. The performers continue to wow the fans, from the stage and one-on-one!

From the up-tempo beat of Waterseed to the soulful beat of Cameo, more than 25 acts brought fans to their feet all festival long.

"We have good friends, good food, good times," Jazz Fest fan Felicia Young said.

The fifth annual Richmond Jazz Festival is only getting smoother, with more stages, stands and free ways for fans to recharge their batteries.

"It's the best on the east coast," festivalgoer Ken Lyda said.

Big-name artist Babyface surfaced as the highlight of this year's four-day concert. Detroit's Earl Klugh signed autographs and took pics with a line of longtime fans like Glenda Watson, who drove in from South Carolina.

"Got out of college, I went to Peace Corps. And I remember he's almost the soundtrack to my Peace Corps experience when I was there," Watson said.

The top performers said... they felt RVA's love.

"It's obvious it's a big jazz fan base here," performer Earl Klugh said. "It's wonderful, and I really enjoy the audience."

Organizers added a third stage to the festival this year, and on Sunday night, singer Diane Reeves brought down the house.

"Every stage has a little something different, so it's a nice mix for everybody," Lyda said.

Boz Scaggs closed out the festival on Sunday night. "It was fabulous. I was very surprised at the quality of the acts and the quality of the shows," Watson said.

That vibe resonated with thousands of jazz lovers feeling the groove and gettin' down.
