UPDATE: Two in GA arrested in massive illegal narcotic distribution network

A “lengthy” investigation by the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force, the Federal Bureau of Investigations and the United States Postal Inspector resulted in two people being arrested as part of an international narcotic distribution network.

Walter Mac Waters, 42 and Lacey Siobhan Waters, 32, both of LaFayette, were served with four search warrants by authorities Tuesday.

Seized as part of the raid were several thousand doses of various types of illegal narcotic prescription drugs, as well as illegal steroids according to a news release from the Task Force.

Also seized was more than $125,000 in cash, which is believed to be the proceeds of drug transactions.

Both people were booked into the Walker County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
