Good Monday. We will start out the week with High pressure building in, keeping skies mostly sunny, and allowing for a warm up this week. Highs today will climb to about 90. Tuesday we will even manage to creep up to 92 with predominant sunshine. One positive to look for with the heat will be humidity levels that will be fairly low. I wouldn't say the air is dry, but it will certainly not be as oppressive as it could be for early August.
Wednesday and Thursday will be warm with the high in the low 90s. We will start to see a change, however, as a front begins to develop to the west. It may stir up one or two late showers during the afternoon hours both Wednesday and Thursday.
The rain chance will really ramp up Friday and Saturday as the front sits over the Tennessee Valley. Look for widespread showers and storms both days. We will also see temperatures a little lower, climbing only into the mid 80s.
Temps will stay in the mid 80s Sunday and Monday, but we may see a little less coverage of the rain as the front weakens. Still, at this point, I would expect a few spotty showers and storms to end the weekend and start next week also.
