2 teens killed after car crashes into Shelbyville building

SHELBYVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Two teenagers are dead after a crash in Shelbyville on Friday morning.

According to The Shelbyville Times-Gazette, Richard Grijalva and Tristin G. Nichols, both 17 years old, died after the Ford Mustang they were in struck the corner of the community center building on Elm Street.

The driver of the car, 22-year-old Austin Tomlin, was taken by medical flight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The Shelbyville Times-Gazette said Tomlin is in critical but stable condition.
