STATIC, TN (WSMV) -

A Kentucky man was arrested early Friday morning in connection to the double-murder of a Pickett County business owner and his son Wednesday night.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced 34-year-old Joshua Clay Pyles of Monticello, KY, was arrested early Friday morning on two charges of first-degree murder.

Dan Dowdy and his son, Cody Dowdy, were killed at their family Business, the Sugar Shack, near the Kentucky state line.

The TBI marked shell casings on the ground, but they aren't releasing how the two were killed.

"The building does have surveillance video, as we understand. We are currently working to see, however, if that will wield any evidence that might help in this investigation," said TBI spokesman Josh DeVine.

The victims were loved by the community and many people sat outside the crime scene tape on Thursday watching and waiting for news.

"I think that shows that the father and son were really loved and it shows a lot of how the community is. They really pulled together when something like this happens and supports the families," said Sheriff Dana Dowdy said.

Pyles is being held in the Pickett County jail without bond.
