FREMONT, N.C. -

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people in connection with breaking into Norwayne Middle School on Tuesday, July 29 in Fremont.

On July 29, the sheriff’s office received a fire alarm call to the school. When the fire department arrived to the school, they noticed the school had been broken into.

The fire department called the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, who came across two people in possession of a large television and other items.

Deputies later determined that the items were taken from Norwayne Middle School.

The sheriff’s office charged 19-year-old Stephen Michael Anderson, of Goldsboro, with breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods. Authorities also charged 16-year-old Trevor Briggs with breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods.

Both suspects were taken to the Wayne County Jail. Anderson was given an $8,000 secured bond and Briggs was given a $16,000 secured bond.
