NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A woman accused of impersonating a police officer and robbing a driver is behind bars, but her husband is still on the run.

Sabrina Thompson, 28, and Charles Virgil Thompson II, 31, are accused of stopping a driver on June 3 in the 800 block of Murfreesboro Pike. The victim pulled over after he said a vehicle with an interior flashing blue light began to follow him.

The victim surrendered his wallet to a man and woman posing as police officers, according to police.

Charles Thompson has also been charged in connection with a second incident on June 4 where he is accused of taking a man's ATM card and trying to withdraw money while posing as a police officer.

Sabrina Thompson was arrested on Monday.

The search continues for Charles Thompson, who has previous convictions for unlawful gun possession, theft and drug possession.

Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call Metro Police or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
