Erosion repair a source for traffic headaches in Vail

Posted: Updated:
VAIL, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Construction will take place on Colossal Cave Road in Vail for the rest of July, as crews repair erosion damage from recent monsoon storms.

Pima County Department of Transportation will work to fix the asphalt and the street shoulders on Colossal Cave between The Pantano Bridge and Camino Loma Alta through July 31.

The main project work hours will be 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, expect some delays at any time in the day or night.

Drivers in the area should plan for extra travel time and use caution around workers and equipment.
