Valuable DJ equipment stolen from man's trunk

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

DJ equipment worththousands of dollars was stolen from a Toledo who volunteers his time toentertain at community events and benefits.

Quentin Stewart says hejust wants his computer back so he can keep helping the community.

Stewart says he got homelate on Saturday after working an event. Tired and ready for bed, he left hisequipment locked in the trunk of his car. He says he thought it would be safethere because it was out of sight, but when he woke up, he found his car hadbeen broken into and his laptop, speakers and headphones were all gone.

While the financial lossis a big one, Stewart says he's most upset about the hours of work he put infor events that are now gone.

"I lost countless hours ofmy life in preparation, you know, staying up from 9 p.m. to 3 in the morningpreparing all that music," he said. "I'd pay for my stuff back if I could getit back, especially my Macbook."

Stewart says he is tryingto find a way to keep his plans to DJ at some events in the Willys Park area,like an upcoming parade and Halloween event for kids, but right now he says he'snot sure how that's possible.

Anyone with information onwho may be responsible for this theft is asked to call police.
