Former employee suing popular restaurant

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

One of Nashville's most popular restaurants is facing a federal lawsuit.

Rolf and Daughters is being sued by a former line cook who said he was regularly required to do hours of unpaid prep work.

In the suit, Adam Ortega claimed he was required to show up at noon to prepare for his shift, but wasn't allowed to clock in until 2 p.m.

Ortega said he wasn't the only worker that did this and hoped others will join his suit.

According to The Tennessean, an attorney for Rolf and Daughters said the restaurant strives to comply with all employment laws.
