A memorial will be held on Friday for a man who made headlines for surviving horrific abuse as a child.

Josh Osborne passed away last week at the age of 24. When he was 15, he was found in his Lebanon home starved and chained to a bed.

Osborne went on to inspire stronger laws against child abuse in the state.

The Springhouse Church in Smyrna will hold a memorial for Osborne at 7 p.m. Friday.

The church is located at 14119 Old Nashville Hwy. in Smyrna.
