Cory Waldrop has been named to the Rimington Fall watch list.
The 6-2, 309-pound sophomore out of Seffner, Fla., is one of 66 centers to make the list. Waldrop started six games and played injured for much of the season according to USC Sports Information.
Slated to be the starter at center for the Gamecocks this year, Waldrop was recognized as the Most Improved Freshman on the offensive side of the ball.
The Rimington award is named after Dave Rimingtion, a consensus first-team All-America selection at the University of Nebraska in 1981 and 1982. Rimington went on to become the only player to win the John Outland Trophy, the award for the nation's best interior lineman, twice.
