Aimee Fortney's Easy Sausage Gravy

Our second segment in the "How-To" series is how to make sausage gravy, which is perfect for your weekend "biscuits and gravy" breakfast/brunch!

  • 1 roll of sausage (16 ounce package, any flavor)
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 to 3 cups of milk (Depending on how thick/thin you want your gravy. I use about 2 1/2 cups of milk.)
  • Black pepper to taste (You really don't need to add salt because there is plenty in the sausage!)

Crumble sausage in a medium-sized saucepan and cook sausage. Drain most of the grease, but reserve about 1 tablespoon for the gravy. Sprinkle the flour on top of the grease and whisk constantly. Add the milk and cook until thickened, adding pepper to taste.
