Suspect in deadly Lebanon bombing appears in court

LEBANON, TN (WSMV) -

The man accused of killing his in-laws with a bomb placed at their Lebanon home made an appearance in court on Friday.

Richard Parker is accused of placing a package that contained a bomb at the home of his in-laws, Jon and Marion Setzer.

Jon Setzer died in the explosion, and Marion died two days later.

Parker and his wife lived on the same property as the Setzers.

Parker pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and premeditated first-degree murder in February.

His next court appearance will be Aug. 5 and the trial is set to begin on Oct. 28.
