Lawsuit Initiated by The Beckerman Group v. Caroline Venza is ruled Specious and in Bad Faith
SAN FRANCISCO, June 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Following a hearing on April 10, 2014, the Superior Court for the City and County of San Francisco, the Honorable Ernest H. Goldsmith presiding, issued an order in favor of Caroline Venza and MissionCTRL Communications, awarding Ms. Venza and her company attorneys' fees incurred defending a lawsuit brought against them by The Beckerman Group, a New Jersey-based company. The Court held that Beckerman's claims were "objectively specious and made in subjective bad faith," citing California Civil Code §3426.4. Beckerman voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit, commenced in March 2013, in December 2013. Ms. Venza and MissionCTRL Communications were represented in the case by E. Jeffrey Banchero and John D. Ellis of The Banchero Law Firm LLP, attorneys with offices in San Francisco.
