Time for a cleaning roundup at one eatery, and a perfect score for the Farmer

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - Dining out this weekend?

The inspectors at the Hamilton County Health Department had a great week reporting no failing grades among the 25 restaurants inspected.

However, before you head on over to one all-you-can-eat restaurant on Gunbarrel Road, you may want to check out the score of a 76 at Golden Corral. Remember a failing grade in any score lower than a 70.

According to Chief Inspector Jack Falcon, inspectors found chicken and ham were out of temperature, the grill was dirty, they found badly dented cans, rust in the ice machine and that machine also needs a good cleaning. Once again, the Golden Corral needs to round-up their employees for a little pep talk.

The high score of the week, are you ready for this? A 100 at the Farmer's Daughter Chattanooga on Hixson Pike down at Riverview. Now that's impressive. This place has been open for six months and it sounds like they are doing great. Once again, congratulations!

Inspectors are busy this week continuing to check on public pools in Hamilton County.

Remember, any complaints about a restaurant, hotel or motel, day care or a place you work out, call the Hamilton County Health Department  Hotline at (423) 209-8110 or feel free to email me and I'll pass your comments directly to Chief Inspector Jack Falcon and he assigns your concerns to one of his employees usually that same day.

Enjoy your meal!
