1 lane of EB I-40 east of Holbrook reopens after semi fire

Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX (CBS5) -

One lane of eastbound Interstate 40 has reopened about 40 miles east of Holbrook after a semitruck caught fire Thursday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The far right lane remained closed for cleanup efforts, according to ADOT.

Motorists were urged to delay travel because there is no nearby eastbound alternate route, according to ADOT.

There is no estimated time as to when the other eastbound lane would reopen. Westbound I-40 was unaffected, according to ADOT.

There was no word on injures.
