DURHAM, N.C. - Another truckload of diapers will continue to help a local organization that had about 13,000 diapers stolen last week.

Huggies donated 26,000 diapers on Wednesday to the Durham-based Diaper Bank of North Carolina.

The company wanted to give double the amount that someone stole from the Diaper Bank last week.

The Diaper Bank looks to give diapers to families that can’t afford them.

“We’re overwhelmed by the generosity,” said Michelle Old, director of the Diaper Bank of North Carolina. “Never in our wildest dreams did we think we’d be getting this many diapers so generously given to us.”

The Huggies donation continues an overwhelming show of support for the Diaper Bank after the stunning burglary.

Pampers also donated 40,000 diapers, the Honest diaper company contributed 13,000 and another 40,000 came through donations in the mail.

The Diaper Bank has received a stunning 130,000 diapers since the theft, which will last about four months.

The organization distributes 30,000 diapers a month.
