NEW YORK, June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Conde Nast Traveler announced the release of a new app called the Gold List last week, which is now available across all mobile and tablet devices. The app was created in partnership with MAZ, whose publishing platform powers nearly 1,000 apps across iOS, Android, Amazon, and the web.
Gold List covers hotels, resorts, cruise lines, hotel bars and restaurants from all over the world featured editorially. Users who download Gold List can now browse through various lists by destination, cocktails and restaurants, and exclusive Very Important Travelers choices.
The new app also features Stream, a revolutionary social feature that creates a live, crowd-sourced feed of Conde Nast Traveler Gold List content as curated by the community of app users. Stream allows readers to participate in a localized social network right inside the app by "cutting out" anything they see on their screens with their fingers to save or share via social media, email or SMS.
With an audience of 3.5 million, Conde Nast Traveler is one of the top sources in the country for travel news and information. The new app version of Gold List includes increased interactivity, state-of-the-art user experience, and deep social integration.
"The app follows the editorial direction of the brand with its vast social sharing capabilities. It allows us to share great resources with our readers and users, and in turn, allows them to share their inspiration and favorites with Traveler," says Dana DeVito, Executive Director, Creative Services.
"It goes without saying that this is one of the biggest travel brands in the world," adds MAZ CEO Paul Canetti. "It is clear that in making a shift to the app world, they are embracing everything that makes mobile so powerful– get the information you want, when and where you want it, and save or share it instantly."
