NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A man from Washington state was arrested in Nashville on Tuesday after police allegedly found nearly 61 pounds of marijuana in his car.

An officer stopped 57-year-old Daniel Lee Barton on Interstate 24 near Joelton for following too closely.

During the stop, the officer's police dog sniffed the vehicle and alerted the officer to the drugs.

Police say the high-grade marijuana, valued at more than $180,000, was found in the trunk of Barton's rental car.

Barton is being held at the Metro jail on a $76,000 bond.
