A parade Monday morning in Lebanon welcomed home the Cumberland University national champion baseball team.
The Bulldogs defeated Lewis-Clark State College in Idaho on Friday night in the 2014 NAIA Baseball World Series, and head coach Woody Hunt said the road to the championship was anything but easy.
"We had to follow a defeat the day before in all three of our tournaments. They just kept getting off the mat and winning. They had a great desire to win," he said.
Hunt went on to say that of all the teams he has coach over the years, this year's team is the toughest.
